4Nice looking and sounding dock for the Samsung; buttons are a bit too small

This is an attractive docking station for the Samsung for your desk. It is a bit on the large side – the base is about 7 inches wide and 4 inches deep, so it does take up a bit of space. But for me, that’s not a bad thing since I appreciate the stability it provides. The base has a padded bottom with non-slip feet. That, plus the size of the base, keeps it in place very well even if jostled.

The overall build quality seems good. I really like that it has a matte white finish rather than the shiny finish. Looks nice, plus zero fingerprints can be seen.

The docking ports to hold the phone and the “tower” (which has a speaker and control buttons) are firmly attached and hold everything securely. It also comes with a USB cable for connection to a power source.

In addition to serving as a charging station, it has bluetooth capabilities for hands-free use. No problems pairing it, and the sound quality was quite good. The control buttons on the tower allow you to adjust the volume, plus there’s a multi-function button for pickup, hangup, call rejection, etc. The buttons have a nice positive click to them, but are very small. While this is a good choice for aesthetics, I would much rather have larger buttons for easier use. The multi-function button in particular is much too small. The volume control is a rocker-type switch. Again, for ease of use I’d prefer separate up/down – it’s too easy to hit this in the middle, and go up (or down) when you want to go the other way. The button size and placement are the reason I’m dropping this one star in its rating.

The dock also boasts of anti-radiation benefits. I can’t speak to whether that is true or not. I like it mainly for it’s design, sound quality and stability on my desk. Good choice (and a good looking choice) if you are looking for a Samsung dock for charging and hands-free use.
