Great dock if you modify your case.

I bought this dock knowing VERY WELL that I would need to modify my case to use it. After doing so, the phone fits very well in this dock. The modification to the case only took a few minutes with small wire cutters and an emory board. I use a thicker case for my iPhone 5- an OtterBox Case. I posted a picture for all to see. The dock itself is very well made. I have two of them and they both work great- very solid. If you don't use a case (or a thin case), you'll need to put something (like felt pads) on the dock to support it as there will be much space between the back of the phone and the dock itself.

Good Dock, Little Expensive, Be Aware of Case Limitations

I've read a couple of reviews complaining about the cable pulling out when removing the iPhone/iPod Touch on this dock but I don't see how. I've uploaded a picture in the customer images to illustrate but the lightning connector on my dock is secured and does not pull out...and I don't think it can without excessive force. The only thing I can think is that people are reviewing this item but are thinking about the previous version of this dock which did just have a loose lightning cable inserted along with an audio jack.
The cable itself is pleasantly long...enough for me to comfortably move the dock around on my desk.
I have a thin case but be aware there is only about 4mm space between the front of my iPhone and the raised edge of the dock...4mm of space for your case (front and back).
The only complaint I have with this is it's a bit expensive...but I knew that going in.

Great But Could Be Better

Ok, here is the deal folks, Belkin is restricted by Apple regarding the production of the Lightning Connector. It is Apple's rules that made Belkin to have to make this Dock the way it is.
I use a Spigen Slim Armor case on my iPhone 5 and no, the dock will not work with this particular case. HOWEVER, if you are willing to take about 10-15 minutes of time, this dock is VERY easily modified.
1- CAREFULLY peel off the black rubber piece from the bottom. There you will find 4 Phillips Head screws.
2- Take the Screws out.
3- Bottom plate and the weight will come out with the cable.
4- Using an X-Acto knife, score the rubber 1/8" down from the top edge on both sides and on the edges. Make sure togo nice and slow and use a metal ruler or other guide to keep the scoring as straight as possible.
5- Once you have scored all the way around an 1/8" from the top edge, you should be able to peel this part off. You might want to cut from the top right up against the lightning connector sides to make this easier.
6- Once this piece is off you should see the metal embedded within the rubber. Using a file shave off just a bit more on both sides.
7- to check your progress, place this connector piece back into the dock, secure with at least one screw and place the phone in the dock (with the case on) and see if you have taken off enough for the connector to reach all the way. If not, keep
taking off a little more at a time.
8- To make it look a bit more neat, just use some black electrical tape and trim to the shape of the oval piece. (it just makes it look a bit nicer!)
I have done this on 4 docks now and each one looks great and functions very well. I do not recommend a Dremal tool unless you are VERY experienced! If you damage the connector at all, you will not be able to charge or sync.
