A bit flimsy, but does the job and looks pretty good

I bought this stand because the standard Apple stand, while nice, doesn't work once you install a case on your Iphone. Most people I know have cases on their phones, so I decided to give this case a try. The product is well packaged, the assembly is pretty easy, but the cord insertion and the locking mechanism do have a flimsy feel. I was not impressed with the product once I assembled it. However, the product works well, and it allows me to charge the Iphone 4S even with the case. I really with this stand would be a little more heavy and that the mechanism to insert the cord would be less flimsy.

I have READ SEVERAL REVIEWS of people complaining about this item and I was very skeptical to buy it after reading the comments with 1 and 2 stars, so to give the benefit of the doubt I bought just one charge dock and after I received it I realized that there was no foundation on those comments.
My wife's iPhone 4s has a hard back case cover and my iPhone 4s also has a Otterbox case and both phones charge and fit on the docks just fine. I could not understand what was the big deal 1 & 2 star reviews had with this product!
I am giving 5 stars, however I agree with other comments related to its weight and I agree that the dock should be a bit heavier than it is now, but I am very satisfied and I recommend this dock to anyone who is in need of a nice, sleek and efficient charge dock.

Very functional for the price

My primary goal of this stand was to use this for FaceTime conversations with my fiancee while I was traveling. While the construction isn't super strong, it does holds up well enough.
The nice thing about this stand is that you can swap out the USB cable that comes with it (the one they provide isn't very long - I use an extended cable and it fits in nicely).
The downside is if you use most types of rugged cases, you won't be able to plug the phone into the power adapter. It does, however, fit with the smaller cases.
Nonetheless, I bought us both one, and they work fine. Decent stand for the money.
