Though the Livedock is little more than a glorified chunk of premium plastic, one feature alone makes its purchase almost mandatory for anyone wishing to utilize an Xperia in a larger capacity as a media device: one (1) full-size USB port, allowing for a variety of peripherals to connect to Xperia devices.

With the addition of a micro-HDMI cable, I am currently able to hook up my Xperia Arc S to my media center, and control the phone through either a mouse/keyboard or gamepad through the Livedock's USB port, essentially transforming my svelte phone into a portable media powerhouse. With gamepad support through USB, I can currently run a variety of games and emulators with an actual controller - in my case, the Logitech F310 model.

The dock itself is rather small, and extremely sturdy, though the actual 'cradle' is little more than a protruding lip with little grip; even so, I've not come across any problems with my phone falling off.

I have yet to try and see whether the dock would support a powered USB hub, allowing for additional devices to be connected, but I'll update this review once I get a hold of one.

Exacly as described! Came brand new still sealed in the manufacture box and it works perfect with my Sony Experia J.

LiveDock allows me to connect the keyboard, mouse ... but unfortunately does not support the gamepad I have now, so I'll have to buy another.
